Booking an Appointment
The aim of our system is for patients to get advice and treatment for our patients as quickly as possible by the right healthcare professional.
We operate a system called "triage". This means that you let us know what your medical problem is. The doctor will assess your condition. When only advice is required, it will be given by telephone. After assessment, if the doctor thinks that you need an appointment it will be booked for you. This may be by telephone or by text.
Reception is open for requesting an assessment or appointment and for general enquiries by telephoning 01494 445150 Monday - Friday 08:00 - 18:30.

If you are not sure whether you need to see a doctor or if you looking for medical advice outside of surgery hours you may find the answer on the Health Help Now website.
One appointment one problem - Please help our clinicians to run on time by being honest with the Doctor that calls you back if you have more than one problem to discuss or feel your problem is too complex to be dealt with in a 10 minute appointment.
Book Your Appointment Online
If you have registered for our online services, you can book an assessment of your medical condition by a GP by clicking on the link at the top of this page.
If you have not yet registered but would like to be able to use this facility, please call in and speak with a receptionist, who will be happy to help you get set up.
By clicking through to Patient Access to make an appointment you are NOT making a timed appointment to see a doctor at the surgery. Your request will be assessed by the a GP and if it is clear that an appointment is needed you will be booked an appointment. This will be with the most suitable member of our team to deal with your condition. If you have left us a mobile phone number, please leave the phone on so that we may send you a text with the appointment details. You may also called by our receptionist to be booked in. The GP will ring you if she is unsure what the problem is from the information you have given or if she thinks you may need to see a healthcare provider outside the surgery.
PLEASE DO NOT USE PATIENT ACCESS TO REQUEST ROUTINE REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS AS THIS USES AN APPOINTMENT NEEDED BY SOMEONE WITH AN URGENT MEDICAL CONDITION. YOUR PRESCRIPTION REQUEST WILL BE PROCESSED THROUGH OUR USUAL PROCEDURE.

When you arrive at the surgery for a booked appointment, you may either check in at reception or use our automated check-in system between the two sliding entrance doors.
The touch-screen instructions are in large print and offer a range of languages if your first language is not English. The system will ask you to enter your gender and date of birth. It will then confirm your appointment and advise you which waiting room to use. The whole process usually takes less than a minute.
The system will also alert you if we need additional information from you or if you need to book in for something - for example a flu jab.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
