1. The Doctors

2. The Practice Nurses

    Special interests: lifestyle advice, obesity, women’s health, family planning, diabetes mellitus
  • Joanne Worley, RN
    Special interests: chronic wound management, care of the elderly, cervical cytology

All of our nurses are trained to advise you about: how to change your lifestyle and diet to improve your health, how to stop smoking, immunisations, cervical smears, wound care and foreign travel.

3. The Receptionists

Our receptionists will do their best to provide you with the service that you require. They work according to agreed protocols to make sure that all patients are treated safely and fairly. Please be polite to our receptionists under all circumstances.

Our Reception Manager, Mrs Beverley Dixon will be pleased to help with any queries you may have about the day to day running of the surgeries.

4. Primary Care Technician

Tracey Welsh, HCA, will be taking blood samples, monitoring blood pressure, carrying out ECGs, assisting at minor operations, removing stitches/staples and performing simple wound care .

Mrs Jan Taboada holds regular clinics to take blood samples and monitor blood pressure and weight. Tests and measurements must be authorised by a doctor or nurse. Strict protocols are followed in the interest of safety.

5. The District Nursing Team

Our District Nurses and Nursing Auxiliary are employed by Wycombe Primary Care Trust. They are:

  • District Nurse Ann Burrows RGN, NDN
  • District Nurse Hilary Young, RN
  • Community Staff Nurse Joyce Ryan RGN
  • Nursing Auxiliary Gill Croley HCA

The District Nursing team gives nursing care, support and advice to those people suffering acute, long-term and terminal illnesses, both in their own homes and within residential care. The nurses work closely with the Surgery and other agencies, to deliver a high standard of care.

The team can be contacted on 01628 524680. Answerphone messages are retrieved between 1 pm and 2 pm daily.

6. The Health Visitors

Our Health Visitors and Community Staff Nurse are employed by Wycombe Primary Care Trust. They are:

  • Fiona Challen RGN, RSCN, RHV, Ba (hons), Pgdip, ENB – Health Visitor
  • Shelagh Hutchins RN - Community Staff Nurse

The Health Visitors work with individuals, families and communities to improve general health and well being. The main focus of their work is families with children from birth to 5 years. They liaise closely with Midwives, School Nurses, Sure Start, Education, Social Services, Housing and Voluntary Services.

7. The Community Midwife

Clarita Miguel is employed by South Buckinghamshire NHS Trust. She cares for maternity patients from the time you first realise you are pregnant until 10 days after you deliver, working closely with the doctors, health visitors, hospital services and other agencies. Please ask for a Practice Antenatal Leaflet if you require more information about our Maternity Service.

8. Management Team

a. Operations Manager: Jackie Jennings is responsible for the overall running of the Practice. If you are in doubt whom to speak to regarding a specific problem, please do not hesitate to contact her.

b. Finance Manager: Alison Gilchrist is responsible for the financial management of the Practice. She will be able to help you with general enquiries.

Susan Boseley can advise you on the status of any referrals and private services.
