Chaperones

Cherrymead Surgery is committed to providing a safe, comfortable environment where patients and staff can be confident that best practice is being followed at all times and the safety of everyone is of paramount importance.

Our staff have received appropriate information and training in chaperoning. The doctor or nurse will ask you if you wish to have a chaperone present before an intimate examination. If you do but another member of staff is unavailable, then we will have to book you into an appointment at another time.

To avoid this inconvenience to you, please ask for a chaperone at the time of booking an appointment if you have a problem which you think may require an intimate examination.
